As venture firm partnering with founders in an emerging market, we spend a significant amount of time thinking about technological inflection points; moments where changes in infrastructure fundamentally alter who gets to build, how quickly they can build, and what kinds of companies become possible as a result. Today, we’re excited to share that Outliers has invested in Replit, one of the most important companies shaping the future of software creation globally. Replit has built one of the world’s largest and most engaged developer platforms, enabling millions of users to write, deploy, and collaborate on software directly from the browser. More recently, the company has emerged as a leader in AI-native development environments, helping dramatically expand access to software creation beyond traditional engineering audiences.

By lowering the barriers to creation, it enables a far broader set of founders, students, operators, and creatives to move from idea to product with unprecedented speed.
